"My chief aim in life is to capture some of these eels." Off the coast of Samoa, researchers find hundreds of magical eels squiggling around a toxic and active underwater volcano and nobody knows what their names are. In Australia, some other researchers find zillions of ugly spider crabs having an orgy. Are these events linked? No. Probably not.
  • Pity that spider crabs are not worth catching for their meat; although they are edible there aint much meat in 'em.
  • Reminds me of the passenger pigeon migrations of yor. Let's kill all the crabs, too. /sarcasm
  • zillions of ugly spider crabs having an orgy.
no pretty spider crabs were invited? or they didn't show up? it's always that way with orgies. the eel story is cool. thanks.
  • Damn, that thing with the crabs is like the setup for a bad 70s horror movie! Great post.
  • Norman told The Age newspaper on Thursday the reason for the mass swarming was unknown, but it was likely related to breeding. Sounds like an outdoor music festival. crabapalooza!
  • Burning crab.
  • The one in the middle is named Bob and he's a bit of an angry eel. The one on the left is named George and he's friendly, but faints in the presence of dogs. I don't know the rest of them. I think they're moochers or something.
  • Why would anybody want to capture Bob and George? They're just regular guys.
  • Eels.
  • Well you see, they've been under suveilance for a while, and it seems like Bob and George have been up to some strange fishy activities. George has been seen snooping around national financial centers taking lots of pictures, and Bob has been calling flying schools asking for a dicount if they can skip the take-off and landing portion of the lessons. It appears as if these two are no ordinary eels.
  • I'd go to orgies if I wasn't afraid of crabs.
  • Eels are very mysterious.
  • Slippery fellows, eh?
  • .. erm.. that'll be six shillings, please. I am no longer infected!! Yendalaviazii grgenwi strvenka!!!
  • oh eels
  • R-eely?
  • I was at this concert to hear the Golden Eel song.
