Explodingdog Graphics is Sam Brown's visual exquisite corpse. He says, "people suggest titles and i do drawings from some of them, then post them on this site. if some one likes the picture i drew, they email it to their friends and say "hey, look at this funny picture." this site could be thought of as a long term semi-collaborative art project. nobody pays for anything. and when i draw a picture using someone's title it is added to the front page for anyone who is interested to look at." I say, pretty interesting to flip thru.
  • [this site could be thought of as a long term semi-collaborative art project.] Or not. /semi-collaborative art project
  • patsee: Gwuh?
  • //semi-collaborative art project
  • Yay! This could be our first reposting of a Monkeyfilter posting (as far as I know). Our little MoFi is growing up and that makes me happy! But it also makes me sad.
  • Accessing Monkeyfilter's December archives with either of my browsers (IE and AllByOne) makes me sad. I daresay forksclovetofu has encountered this problem also, alas.
  • Hm. Whoops. My bad. Tho' in my defense a "previously posted link" in the URL post button would be nice... /very embarrassed, but still don't understand what Patsee is talking about.
  • Nah. I re-posted myself some weeks apart because the first time the link was broken ("I Have A Crush On Dora Dare"), then Goetter re-posted one of mine ("Self-Arrest Form")... And I'm guessing there would be one or two more.
  • Dizzy, is it possible all the links for the month of December could be broken at once? Or what am I doing wrong? Been trying for over a week, but can't find the December Archives. The "Search' function hasn't worked for me either.
  • B-- I didn't search the archives, I just remembered them by my lonesome. And I've NEVER successfully accessed the December archives, so I think we're all in the same boat. Time to (re)notify Tracicle?
  • Tracicle is notified, just trying to ignore the looming code rewrite she sees ahead.
  • Keep ignoring the coding. Let the glorious days of yore sink into myth. Let the tales of Cock and the Miguel impersonator pass on into legend, legends ending with "...and someday they shall come again." Not for the faint of heart the ancient days when monkey fought monkey. The links, treasure troves of ancient wonder, full of hidden dangers, never again to be seen by man or monkey. Back to the exploding dog. It's a really great site. I had one that was my favorite by far, one that I can no longer seem to find. It features falling stars, and bloody headwounds.
  • You could post a link to explodingdog every day and it would be ok with me because he's that cool
  • I found exploding dog a year or so ago and I purposely forget about it so I can spend a couple of hours of clicking and laughing and saving links to make t-shirts with (using Cafepress--which he says is fine as long as you don't make money from it.) I think it's worth a repost every six months or so just to remind people of how great it is.
  • For the record, I believe that the initial explodingdog.com post was mine and I DID mangle the link on the front page. That may very well have hindered a proper search. On the other hand, I'm a big fan of Sam's work and I agree with boo & Kimberly 100%.
  • Cheeky is right, you can find the original link, he just titled it the same as the blurb on explodingdog..."my name is sam etc etc". BTW there was one particular favorite of mine that I've never been able to find again, it had factory against a red background and the foreground was someone who was running away from the factory. Go at it explodingmonkey sleuths!
  • Spooky, your description sounds like a picture here . At the bottom of the page are four pictures. The upper left hand image called 'evilmen color' was the one that immediately came to mind.
  • Cheeky, you're a great person, for a monkey!
  • Why, thank you very much, Spooky!
  • The links, treasure troves of ancient wonder, full of hidden dangers, never again to be seen by man or monkey. Little did Pez know the trek that would happen later. Meanwhile, back at explodingdog, life continues much as it has done.
