Cali hospitals use wi-fi to control IVs! (via engadget)

I sure hope those hospitals are running a firewall. Can you imagine the hacker kids getting a hold of that network? "Dude! I just increased this guy's IV to like, a billion!" "OWN3D!!"

  • Oops, that link would be www.engadget.com. Sorry for the typo. :)
  • Cali hospitals I thought: "Gee, those Columbians are finally putting that drug-money to good use."
  • That'd be a pretty strong IV...
  • This is great news for DIY pain management. The next time a cancerous geek's writhing in his bed and can't get an increase on his morphine drip because the DEA's bullying his doctor, the geek can just hack the feed himself.
  • I have no words to express what a bad idea this seems like. Please, at least leave medical equipment hackers a physical barrier to overcome.
