On Stephen Hawking, Vader and Being More Machine Than Human.
  • Ach! Admmin, please hope mme.
  • Not this sidereal universe. Wait twenty four hours, I guess <:(!) Or not.
  • Not this time, I guess... Found this older post about another wheel chair bound innovator. Quite an interesting post on many levels. First, because Thomas Midgley got sadly tangled up in his own invention (after his other inventions tangled up the planet (lead based paint, freon ozone zapping refrigerators and so forth), but also even more world shaking was the comment that spells out a modest proposal for the deep grammer of MoFi, the hidden ice berg of older posts that go on living... Only we have far exceeded the limits now, and only post spell correction remains elusive :(
  • It's interesting that when Einstein died in the 1950's they removed his dead (and non-working) brain to study (for what, we may ask) but now the technology is available to remove Hawking's brain still alive, and in a few years, have him communicate in real time using MRI and neural computing. The moral question is whether he would choose this.
