Jails Converted to Hotels A quick way to go from confinement to refinement.

  • More fun if those hotels/jails contained hookers and peacocks.
  • I had a client a couple years ago who was transferred from one prison to another because a cell phone charger was found in his cell. Yes, he had a cell phone in prison. This all fascinates me. People have cell phones in prison. Prison rape is very real. All it takes is to send someone undercover into a prison and the responsible parties (guards, etc) could easily be exposed and taken down. The corruption must run incredibly deep for all of this to go unaddressed.
  • Bars in every room - now that's handy!
  • I just stayed at the Liberty Hotel in Boston, which is on that list. The jail part has been largely gutted and contains the lobby, office, restaurants, bars, and ballrooms. There is a hallway that attaches the building to another, newer building. The rooms are actually in that building. Still, it was pretty cool.
