Death, or Near Death? Hospice care for my daughter was a good way to improve her recent passing - hopefully helping her toward some kind of afterlife. But the near death experience alone was beautiful in its own way, and has been documented by many others (Previously).
  • I'm so sorry about your daughter, Dan. Hope you and yours are OK.
  • Dan, I'm so sorry for your loss, and I also know how wonderful Hospice is when you need it.
  • There is little in this world I wish to believe in more than an afterlife. I long for the days when I definitely believed in such a thing. I sure hope it exists, and I hope that your daughter is there. I enjoyed the article. It is a subject I have always been interested in but have spent little time looking into.
  • Thank you Pallas Athena, theora55 and bernockle for your kind words and support. God bless you three. Now, one more thing I have to say: everyone has a right to choose their own kind of passing.
  • Now Mom is going through the same process my daughter did. Dad said we almost lost her this morning. Thank God she was aware of all of our love. This whole process is so hard again. 2011? Not so good.
  • Dan, I'm so sorry to hear that your Mom is passing. Please know that my thoughts are with you in your grief for your daughter and your struggles to come.
  • Thank you, BlueHorse. I've been dreaming about them both. In one dream my daughter was up in a tree easily flitting about, while I gripped a branch fearfully. In another dream, Mom was approving something I'd done... Any how, here's a recent (Swedenborgian) addition to the science presented elsewhere to the question of what may lie behind out of body or near death experiences and the seeing of relatives then, as in dreams.
