The very short and fairly descriptive domain name e.co is being auctioned off. Less than 2 hours into the 3 day auction, 16,500 USD has been bid, and it can be expected to go much higher. Of course, anyone can bid, and it'd be a great asset for the BP PR department at any price, right?
  • and it can be expected to go much higher. Why?
  • (1) that's the way online auctions work (2) sedo.com, which has auctioned off domains for 100,000 USD and higher, is seriously promoting this one (3) a domain name as "short and fairly descriptive" as this is worth more than you or I
  • Worth more than YOU maybe, but I come high priced That's about what BP would do--go for the PR and screw the world.
  • For the life of me I can't understand this post.
  • I wasn't aware .co was a TLD. Unless it's like .us All of the single letter domains will have gone.
  • .co is the domain for the nation of Columbia, which, until recently, could only be registered by citizens of the country. But seeing the success of .tv (Tuvalo) and .me (Montenegro), them Columbians figured this could be more profitable than coffee (sorry, Juan Valdez) I should've put that link in the original post.
  • i'm trying to secure gilli.co for my company, since i currently have gillico.com...
  • go.co for it!
  • Oh, Queso, pick me up a fias.co, a stuc.co, and a tobac.co while you're there, will ya? (And get a bron.co for BlueHorse).
  • ron.co ?
  • Update: e.co sold for $81,000... And I may have been the only kid who actually liked those candy wafers growing up, but you can always get me nec.co
  • Wait. I bid $81,050 :(
  • When I lived in Boston, I would go to a club near the NECCO Wafer factory, and the smell in the air was chewable.
  • Quick! Get GEI.CO ! I mean, it will be vital to insure your couch cushion houses, and Geico does property insurance too. Was that what you wanted, Foop?
  • TT, I love my new bron.co domain name. Es magnifi.co! $81,000 for a stupid domain name! That's just lo.co. I'll bet the seller laughs all the way to the ban.co. Dan, bidding on something when you don't have the money is bun.co.
  • Actually, I bet you could get Bluehor.se from Sweden...
  • oooooooh, what an idea!!
