Two men were found alive, floating in an Esky in the Torres Strait. They had been there for about 25 days, after their boat sank a couple of days before Christmas. Eskies - don't leave home without them.
  • We call them Chullee Buns, because Chullee is in the Southern hemisphere, and Eskys are in the Northern. I bet it was full of beer to start with, and they were looking for a barbie.
  • Obviously, the Titanic needed a few of these. At the bottom, the article mentions three men rescued earlier from an Esky. Seems a bit crowded.
  • In Alaska, they are occasionally referred to as banana totes.
