  • I appreciate the "Organisms are always getting better" entry. Too many people use that idea to justify their own species/racial/cultural centrism.

  • Number 7 is not a misconception - in fact, whoever wrote the list agrees with number 7. I don't think anyone claims that evolutionary theory is complete. The misconception is that the incompleteness of evolutionary theory in some way undermines its explanatory power.
  • Number 1 is not a misconception either. In fact, it has nothing at all to do with the theory of evolution itself.
  • Well, it's a misconception about what evolution is and what it isn't. So, I think it does have something to do with it.

  • 3. Evolution Leads to Immoral Behavior ...is also true, actually - no behaviour of any kind without evolution. Perhaps they really mean 'Belief in Evolution leads to Immoral Behaviour'
