Life Imitates Advertising. Airline passenger recreates Apple iPhone ad and annoys the pilot.
  • I think it's important not to piss off the pilot before he flies your plane.
  • Passenger got off lightly, he could have ended up arrested.
  • You know why I find this funny? Every single flight I've ever been on, somebody next to me has decided they don't need to obey the airline rules, and just talks on their phone through the entire takeoff or landing. Not once has any flight attendant ever asked any one of them to stop.
  • And reading further into that link, apparently the airline's Contract of Carriage specifically stated that any phones, even those with Airplane mode, are to be turned off during flight. So the guy should have done what he was told instead of crying iDiscrimination.
  • To clarify, I'm talking about Flagpole's link.
  • instead of crying iDiscrimination. Applecism?
  • Not once has any flight attendant ever asked any one of them to stop. On my flight back from Denver yesterday, a flight attendant publicly embarrassed a passenger schoolmarm-style when his phone rang not five minutes after they told us to shut everything down for takeoff. Called him out in front of us all over the PA system. It made the whole trip worthwhile for me.
  • I see a SciFI Channel made for-TV movie: Pompous Douchebag at 10,000 Feet
