LTH Forum a Chicago based culinary chat site. Many reviews with photo goodness. Curious George - What's the best restaurant review site in your town?
  • Around these parts it's Eat Arkansas (insert joke about stewed road-kill possum here), an arm of the alt-weekly I work for. I don't ever contribute to it, so it's only sort of half a self-link.
  • I live in LA, one of the great food cities of the world and there are tons of websites that serve the Angeleno foodies. I would have to say that given all the LA food blogs, I most trust the Pulitzer prize winning LA Weekly food writer Jonathan Gold. He's not only trustworthy, but tends to review restaurants that are off the stereotypical food critic chart; i.e. cheap, ethnic and out of the way. This past month has found me going to two regional Mexican restaurants in East Los Angeles over 25 miles away that he recommended and not at all feeling cheated. I do check the food blogs from time to time, but if I want a well educated opinion from a critic with a catholic POV, I check Jonathan Gold's reviews.
