Play with your food The Art of Food Carving as collected by Ivan Minic. Some very pretty and intricate stuff to be found here. If you prefer something larger, there's always watermelon carving. The Egg Man prefers to carve and sculpt eggshells of different kinds. I'm especially fond of his filigree eggs.

Famous, or infamous if you prefer, for her elaborate Hogwarts Celebrations, Britta dons her guise as Webmistress of the Dark and offers up a selection of Halloween recipes for those who prefer something a little tacky and silly, but cute.

  • I'd have enjoyed the first set more with some text about what each food was. I'm guessing mostly radishes? The watermelon matryushka dolls were sublime.
  • But where is the watermelon owl???? Nice post!
  • One of my best friends is currently in Thailand studying the fine art of fruit carving. I wish I could post some of his work - - because it's quite astounding.
  • Remarkable skill - but somehow I can't warm to those eggs.
  • I've told and told those kids NOT to play with their food. Now look what they've gone and done.
  • Coo-coo-cachoo.
  • Watermelons Green Buddhas On the fruit stand. We eat the smile And spit out the teeth. --Charles Simic
  • This is just to say That the water- melon you had in the fridge was a bigger than the plum I ate yesterday. All this fruit is affecting my digestion.
