The Other Iran Flash movie of stills of modern day Iran.

(I chose to play it without the music)

  • Snow!
  • Being my usual, naive self, I was amazed at these photos. I suppose the not-so-hidden agenda here is to show us that Iran is not at all some exotic hell-hole, but a place that is just as beautiful, vibrant and diverse as our own neighborhoods. Why can't we all just get along?
  • I was amazed at these photos. I suppose the not-so-hidden agenda here is to show us that Iran is not at all some exotic hell-hole, but a place that is just as beautiful, vibrant and diverse as our own neighborhoods. exactly!
  • I think we all need a group hug. Or maybe I'm just a pansy.
  • Sure it looks like normal people leading ordinary fun lives but it doesn't show the murderous anti-christian american hating terrorists of which there are millions and millions. Seriously, I have a couple of Iranian friends who are among the more enlightened people I know. The picture they paint of Iran is at odds with the image constructed by our warmongering chimperor. They talk of the high quality of education, the generally secular attitude of the people and their skepticism of the Clerical leadership. Also, they report that Iran has a large population who are Zoroastarian-not radical Islamists They also point out that Iran has had and still has widespread grassroots support for secular reform and they claim that the election of Ahmadinejad probably only happened as a nationalistic reaction to the sabre rattling and anti-Persian rhetoric that has been on the rise since the Axis of Evil speech and subsequent invasion of Iraq fostered by our idiot regime here in the US.
