Wasn't Tomorrow Wonderful?
  • Fans of this stuff might also appreciate this book (Amazon.com link) by New Yorker artist and writer, Bruce McCall. It appears to be out of print, but I have seen copies at local bookstores. His stuff I love because you can look and look and look and still find something new and funny.
  • Right on, Shotsy-- I've dug McCall's work since his Lampoon days, and I find him the only artist who singlehandedly predicted the futurist "biggerisbetter" ethos in cars (the SUV), versus the relatively earnest and socialist Radebaugh (lotsa mass transit). I dig BelGeddes designs too (very dashing and graphitey), but for sheer Jet Packiness, my money is on Radebaugh...
  • Ah well. They're still back there, though. Gotta keep moving.
  • Indeed. If only you knew three days ago.
  • bearguy is almost sort of kind of right on your tail!!
  • And I'm right behind him! Oooh! I'll get that rascally Nickdanger!
