The Crimson Room
Try to get out. (Flash)
-
Well, I'm stumped.
-
twapped! I'm twapped!
-
dang.
-
i suck at these. i got to the third key. someone help!
-
I've got three keys (used two), a battery, a cassette, a url, an empty cd case, a red box, a ring (placed on the red box), and a metal rod (also placed on the red box). Oh and a power cable that I've used. Anybody got any other items? Can you get to look back atthe ceiling at all? Can you look under the bed?
-
If you jiggle the curtain a lot another ring falls out and you can open the box. I haven't figured out if you can look at the ceiling or under the bed yet. I'm afraid not. I'm at a total impass. (Does this feel Lynchian to anyone?)
-
Definately Lynchian. The box should have been blue, really.
-
Oh--where'd you find the battery? That's what i need!
-
I hope some food is delivered soon!
-
man... I love this style of adventure game, but part of me always says "This is bullshit. Put your foot through the fucking door."
-
Or smash the damn window. I did it. It was just finding that second ring which stumped me.
-
The battery is down the side of the bed. Face the plain red wall, and click on the little bit of carpet at the end of the bed.
-
Cool, I escaped. Thanks dng, a little cooperation goes a long way. (I thought I clicked all the fuck over that carpet.)
-
metal rod, where are you?
-
I spent an embarrassingly long time trying to puzzle out the air-guitar dance. Liked the little sound that played when you uncovered an item -- very Lynch.
-
goetter, I still haven't figured out the air-guitar dance. Argh! I know he's pointing at something, but...
-
Here's an oblique hint: steganography. Here's another hint: sometimes the signal is hidden in the noise. Finally: "Fortune strums a mournful tune / For those who see, but click too soon"
-
tracicle: you've gotta click on the crosshair where he points. it took me a few clicks to get it right. f8x: if you life up the pillow and look between the matress and the headboard on the bed, you'll find the metal rod.
-
or i could be all subtle, like goetter. perhaps that'd be better.
-
I thought I'd been doing that, but I must have been just missing it, or something.
-
The metal rod eludes me. Can anyone help?
-
Got it to work. Nevermind.
-
bah everytime i click the crosshairs it puts me back in the room. first, second or third time it shows ..
-
Made it - thanks, comrades, for showing me the way!
-
petebest, same here.
-
re crosshairs: put your cursor over the place and wait for the movie to stop playing (it's being projected on the blank wall). Click where the crosshair was.
-
I'm sitting here with my nose to the screen and a Sharpie to mark where the crosshair appears. I am insane.
-
o&o, that's awesome.
-
Now I've got to fish through 10^4 safe combinations? Great, now I'm really not going to get anything else done today.
-
monju_bosatsu: it's 1994. f8xmulder: Yes, I'd rather look like a freak than be defeated by a computer game.
-
Ahhh! Spoiler! Well, at least I'm out.
-
yay! . . . shit i shoulda done work.
-
monju: in case you were wondering, if you go to the url on the piece of paper, it has the number 1994.
-
o&o: I'm with you all the way.
-
f8xmulder: Let's hold hands in the next room. Hee.
-
Did anyone find the CD, or figure out why the cd case was there?
-
Red Herring?
-
A clue to look in the CD player, maybe. Pixel hunts are fun.
-
1994 won't work for me, and i've visited the link.
