Snotty indian tech support? They're probably racist says India's economic times. Casteless Americans don't seem to engender much love in some of these people. More forward thinking Indians are getting over this however. The times are a changing, albeit slowly. My only question is WWJD?
  • hmmm, the article uses the term racist. But if it were based on class wouldn't it be classist? But then, american's exclusion from the caste system IS based on race. And my sociology text book gives race a loose meaning because the term has little biological substance. Anyway, you all get what I mean.
  • "...his deadly combination of higher degree and lower paypacket" seems to sum it up for me. Maybe they give more qualified support (if they're not hampered by scripted responses) than bady-trained U.S. support folks? The diatribe on that site makes we wonder if it's an Onion article.
  • My brother works for Dell and is always talking about how this causes issues. A shame, really.

  • hahahaha everyone laugh at me i posted twice... ugh.
  • Big Hugs!
  • I would laugh at you most heartily if I could only pronounce your username. Mfpb. Phngtx. Btfpltqk.
  • Em eff pub...? Something like Psmith... Um. Well. Ah. Since we're into pronouncing monkey names, how is goetter pronounced? Goater? Getter? Guider? Guh?
  • Muffpub 221. Easy.
  • G
  • Getterterheah! How are you pronouncing that final "h" in the Deutscher phonetic version? *drops to horse position, exhales loudly*
  • Where can I find this... Muffpub?
  • If you find it, I'll drive us.
  • Can I come? (realises that that statement will be - nay, should be - taken the wrong way. Leaves it in anyway)
  • Man, they should get me to write the next Carry On film...
  • Okay, hands up - who's been taking dng the wrong way? And who objects to him leaving it in? With reference to the tricky issue of caste brought up in the article - oooh, it's a hard one.
  • Dang. Is dng pronounced ding, dong, or dung? *does twelve squats from Horse, then faints*
  • I'm going for dunnig. *sees man attacking Horse, goes mad*
  • Pronunciation comes from usage, I suppose - so however you say it is right... (Although would I really want to be dong? Or dung?)
  • Worked for Chairman Mao (pron. "mousie dung"). WWJD: What would Jaideep do? I also confused BPO and the BJP in the article.
  • The problem I can see with outsourcing like this is it might bite companies in the ass. People are less likely to buy products from companies that have rude people answering the phones.
