How to Write a Romance Novel Euphemism of the century: "Their love was a red-orange thing."
  • which, of course, sounds far more romantic than, "their love was a plaid thing." heh.
  • Thinking of the art of the romance nove, I have 2 different versions of a romance novel drinking game. one is for words (like hirsuite, ton, flaxen, loin, unnecessary foreign words, etc.) and the other for concepts (he is a pirate, SHE is a pirate [drink twice], he is an english lord but is DISGUISED as a pirate [empty glass], she is an orphan, etc.) The only problem is, you get drunk really, really fast...
  • my love is a medium-sized intergalactic rumination.
  • I like pebbled nubbins.
