Quality Control.
The plant was also perturbed that they "did not hear the title in some songs." It seems that a logical doublecheck for most WEA manufactured albums is to match up the lyrics with a tracklist of titles. It had to be explained that the songs on this album don't necessarily feature the titles shouted out in the choruses. . . .
Manufacturing was undertaken at the customer's risk.
An amusing story from Damon and Naomi's website.
Quite a good band website, actually. The videos, especially, are excellent.
(I keep meaning to do a post about couples in music, actually, which would obviously include these two. Maybe later, hey. I bet you can't wait.)
That is a funny story, esp. the harmonium 'problem', but I gotta say I am pretty glad that WEA takes the care that they do in the QC department. Better to ask a stupid question than repress a couple thousand cd's.
And I second the D&N props. w/ Ghost was such a great collaboration. Better than either group individually, if you ask me.
Definitely, shotsy. (I've got this on order at the moment, which I'm hoping is as good.)
I got Song to the Siren this morning. Its very good. It even comes with a free hour-long tour diary DVD. Which is nice of them.
