Novello Finotti's Surreal Marble Sculpture
Whoa.
That "whoa" guy looks like a total asshole.
Great site, forks!
Gosh! Old dudes got no fucken idea wha happen in crazy innanet worl! It be new!
If you subscribe to the "disturbing = great art" school of thought, then those are some of the greatest sculptures I've ever seen.
I emphatically don't belong to that school....
Very nice link, forks!...the first one. I suspect that the artist is also a gardner from the love of plant forms I see.
The bronzes are wonderful! Growing from the earth.
Thanks for the Arcimboldo link wolof. I'm a fan.
Handsomely done marbles, and amusing.
I'm particularly taken by that laterally split torso cresting in asparagus stalks...hmm, could it be a sly comment on vegetarianism.
do many artists still work in marble?
luscious link!!
Good one forks!! These are amazing/disturbing/wackilicious.
it's one thing to see abstract and surreal paintings, but for someone to commit such work to marble is incredible.
More here and here for those having difficult navigating the site. I just noticed that these were there myself...
This, this and the "whoa" are apparently his best known pieces.
MmMm. Your second "this" is my favorite! Lovely.
