Nintendogs! [Website with video] Have a whole bunch o' puppies in the palm of your hand. Without the worry of pee. Japanese site with nice pics but slow video here.
OK - It's cute and all, but it won't cuddle up in my lap and fall asleep, or rush to meet me at the door when I come home.
Granted, no poop scooping, but I think I'll pass and get the real thing.

I had a game like this when I was in college; it was kind of neat to have a puppy running around on my desktop while I was trying to write papers. But when you've only got 8MB of RAM, it's a little taxing.
That said, this is about the best use of a touchscreen I've ever seen.
I would never have it, I'm just desparately trying to beat SideDish in the cute animal postings...
I'll wait for the kittens version.
What's the end-boss like?
The kitten version would be simple. The just need to ignore wherever your finger is pointing.
i love that you can electronically tickle the electronic puppies. heh.
Can you set up dog fights though?
