Very pretty, SideDish! Um- is that a catcher's mitt??
Before anyone says it, no, I do not have my own blog. But all you guys are my monkeypals, and I’d really like to share my special day with you! So here we go:
Finley the dog welcomed visiting relatives as only he could! (That one’s for you, Bees!)
We tied that proverbial knot underneath the cherry blossoms at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Tourists gathered and applauded as we kissed.
We couldn’t stop smiling!
The post-nuptial wedding march. Isn’t it a gorgeous setting? The cherry blossoms were in full bloom.
Here’s my favorite shot. Heh.
Later we cut the cake – I baked it myself! It had a baseball wedding topper in honor of Mr. SideDish.
And here we are, basking in the (extremely bright) sunshine of our love.
(whew. that took a while to code, sorry for the delay.)
Cool! I am, however, only seeing one photo. Were there more to be had? Those of tattoos, for example?
Ah! Didn't catch that on preview. Congrats, Sidey!
ooga, i suggested the entire bridal party get matching cherry blossom tatts but they didn't seem to go for that idea.
Thanks, SideDish -- wonderful to do it in cherry blossom time.
Finley's never looked better!
May happiness always be were you are.
Congrats SideDish! I'm glad those ever-capricious cherry blossoms came to their glorious height on your wedding day. May you and Mr Dish be showered with petals.
Trying to come up with a play on words about popping your cherry trees. . . failing. . .simply leaving my heartfelt congrats even though I do not know you.
This is not what Monkeyfilter is for.
SideDishFilter!
Oops, excuse me, I meant to say: congratulations! To the both of you!
What beautiful pictures, thank you for sharing! Congratulations!
Best Wishes. You both look very happy.
Congrats from California!
Congrats from California!

Congrats from California! Truly. What a beautiful setting.
A solid fourth (at least) on the congrats from California! Loved the cherry blossoms.
What a gorgeous setting, SideDish! I hope you and the new mister have a wonderful life together!
I think this is what Monkeyfilter is for.
Hooray for Mr. and Mrs. SideDish! Congrats.

I've totally been right where you guys got married... I probably used those porta potties too. So watch out.
Congrats!
Congrats from Canada!! What lovely pictures, such big smiles! Mr. Dish looks like he got sunburnt though ...
looks like a beautiful ceremony. congrats to both Dishes, again from Fornicalia.
Having bashed a few posts in the last few days, let me say:
I do NOT bash this! Congratulations!
As someone who is getting married May 27, let me say, if our wedding (which will be outside) is half a beautiful as this looks like it was, I'll be a happy guy.
congratulations
How happy was that?! Wow! Best wishes! Congratulations! Take care of each other!
Funny, I was just in D.C. myself this weekend.
Bugger, another tasty woman unavailable! Congratualtions.
Congrats from Seattle!
Abiezer_Coppe: tasty woman
*stands as far away from A_C as possible*
And, congratulations.
And, you seem to have stolen my dog. As if I wouldn't recognize her through the extra hair you so amateurishly "disguised" her with.
You need a crash course in north British compliments fuyugare.
Though I am also a cannibal - a vegan's got to get his protein somewhere.
Okay, maybe it's who I roll with, but I just never ever realized SideDish was a) female and b) nicely approaching vintage...
I just sort of assume everybody here is in my age group... (that is, 22-28).
Awesome - I love these MonkeyFotos (MoFo's?), it's badass that you are all real people.
Yep...this is totally what Monkeyfilter is for; appreciating real events involving real live people we've come to know
I just have to say it; you and Mr. Dish are the dishiest! Good on ya!
Congrats from Wendelfornia! Best news to come out of D.C. since C-SPAN began. May your marriage be filled with cherry blossoms (except on Cleaning Day). And stop waiting for Tom DeLay to come out of the outhouse - it ain't gonna happen.
You two look so happy- and such a beautiful setting! Congratulations!
A> I wish you both great happiness and love.
B> I hope you're far too busy to read this.
Beautimous Dishy! Congratumalations. Finley is indeed right and proper as the dog of honor . . .
this is totally what an online community is for; appreciating real events involving real live people we've come to know...
Ironyfilter (no sarcasm added)... ;)
Congrats Sd!
Yay! All the best of monkey happiness to you and Mr Sidedish!!
What a beautiful wedding!!!!!!!!!! Yay and congratulations, this is awesome and thank you for sharing!
Congrats Dishes! This is great news.
Great one, Dishy.
Congrats from rainy Portland!
wow, I got distracted looking at the pictures and the thread filled with congrats... so let me pile mine on top, with an extra serving of best wishes and a topping of wow-your-pictures-are-beautiful-it-was-a-perfect-day-for-a-wedding.
served up Austin style, of course!
Congratulations! The setting was beautiful. :)
Congratulations!
Congrats from NYC! Thanks for sharing, it was really very beautiful.
Awww, beautiful. Congratulations to the both of you.
In the porta-potty shot the flowers look the exact same shade of delicate pink as your outfit. In some of the other shots, the white clouds of blooms make it seem as if you got married in the sky or in heaven. I was just listening to something on the radio about how the first 2000 trees shipped over from Japan had to be burned. Happy Honeymoon!
A WEDDING TOAST
May your love be firm,
and may your dream of life together
be a river between two shores-
by day bathed in sunlight, and by night
illuminated from within. May the heron
carry news of you to the heavens, and the salmon bring
the sea's blue grace. May your twin thoughts spiral upward
like leafy vines, like fiddle strings in the wind,
and be as noble as the Douglas fir.
May you never find yourselves back to back
without love pulling you around
into each other's arms.

Joyous news! Congratulations from 67 miles north of Seattle!
And from 67 miles south of Darshon, congratulations to you and Mr. SideDish.
Congrats! You both look radiant and the cherry blossoms were a perfect setting.
Congratulations from BC, Dishy!
Mr. SideDish is a lucky fella.
May ye enjoy a long and happy life together.
Congrats to you and Mr Sidey (and the gorgeous Finley, of course). Happpiness and 'nanas to you all.
And well done for getting away with it by calling it a curious george!
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations, SideDish! Have a Mazel Tov cocktail with a cockpunch chaser!
Now to find some vintage, tasty women...
I have some nice pictures of my kids, the cat, the house, our holiday in 1994, my family, the last time I shot an arrow, my school trip in 1984, my childhood, every childhood holiday I ever went on...
PictureFilter!!!
But seriously, congrats, SideDish (just don't do it again).
*applauds*
Them are beautiful pictures, SideDish! I like the cake! Did you save the two figurines on top of it?
Have a good honeymoon!
Congratulations Sidey and Mr Dish! Well done you!
Best wishes to the both of you.
Hurrah! Congrats, Sidey, wishing you and Mr Dish a long and happy life together.
yaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
happy happy day. yay for you and mr sidedish, sidedish!
There are three kinds of wedding decorations:
1. The flowers you have to pay for.
2. The flowers that you find already growing in place.
3. The friends and family you invite.
Of the three, the last two are the best to have. Looks like you found both. Congrats!
Hurray! Congratulations to you both from NYC...
Congratulations! I'm extremely jealous that you had cherry blossoms -- here in the Niagara region, they haven't even budded yet...
Bugger, another tasty woman unavailable!
You too? I love to bugger tasty, unavailable women!
Congratulations, SideDish. All the happiness in the world to you.
SideDish, I can see from the pictures you two must be deliriously happy. What a gorgeous day for gettin' hitched!
Where's Gramma? Someone has to ask these two kids when they're having young'ns. (ha ha!)
thanks so much for all the kind wishes, and again, sorry for those who felt this was an inappropriate FPP. but enough monkeys were asking for the pics i figured it's the best way to share.
also! instead of gifts we asked friends and family to contribute to humane societies and no-kill animal shelters. so far we've received thank yous from four states! hurray!
this is one of the most interesting, the hugs for homeless snuggles project. my friend who is into knitting found that group, which makes cozy blankets for shelter pets.
I loved the figurine on top of the cake...
Cheers!
Those pictures are lovely on every level, SideDish. Congratulations!
I agree, more MoFos.
Congrats!
I'm confused. Isn't there a rule about self linking? At the same time I want to congratulate our esteemed Sidedish on her wedding I'm wary that MF will become a repository of everyone's personal pics. Where is the line? Judging from the lack of critical remarks here in this thread, I guess you all may think I'm just being a wet blanket killjoy. But again, though I hold affection for Sidedish and feel happiness for her, I just feel that that the policy (if there is one) of allowing links to personal pics is not necessarily a positive thing for MF in the long run, lovely as these pics are. I ask because at one point I was tempted to link some personal photos too (of my adopted girls) but I thought- nah, that would never pass muster on MF.
Please post them, kamus, if you still want to. As for SD's photos, I don't know. I have some confusion too, and suspect this is an exception.
Though, I wonder, for those who find the post troubling, what would have been a better option? Maybe a thread kicked off with SD's photos inviting willing MoFites to share their wedding/offspring photos? Having another monkey post her links? Some other option?
I didn't really see a problem with it, because getting married is (hopefully) a once-in-a-lifetime event. It's something unique that doesn't happen every day, or every year to a person (excepting pop stars, I guess), so SideDish's self-linking shouldn't affect the "policy".
I think stuff like births, deaths and marriages are pretty unique events and shouldn't really fall under the self-linking restriction. Just my two bits.
I would like to think that we monkeys do interact on a more personal basis than other online communities, what with Secret Santas, Monkeyswaps, CD swaps, and tons of postcards and gifts flying hither thither between us. No?
because getting married is (hopefully) a once-in-a-lifetime event.
HAHAHAHAHA!
Oh. Sorry. Missed the "hopefully" part.
I gave SideDish a free pass on this one as a sort of reward for all of her great FPP nuggets. And I just love me some cherry trees.
Kamus, if you want to post something like that, just slip me the word and I'll post it for you.
Maybe if there was a special category like CGs for MF personal pics it would work without disturbing the main mission. In any event, congratulations, Sidedish and hubby!
I feel guilty now for injecting and negativity into Sidedish's special day. Tracicle- can you offer clarification here? Also- thanks Wolof and PY
cute pix. congrats.
This is so cool! It's nice to put faces to usernames sometimes. Congrats, SideDish!

Great news! I have a slew of pics from a close relative's funeral.
It's nice to put faces to usernames sometimes.
Try here!
Wow! There are a lot of attractive monkeys around here! quidnunc and flashboy are hotties!
Congratulations SideDish ... you look like it was a good one.
It's been a good few weeks for MoFi weddings:
Mrs and Mrs Dickdotcom April 2 2005
Mrs. dotcom is gorgeous, but you know what? I just want to pinch Dick's cute little cheeks (the ones I can see in the photos.) It's an old-lady thing.
Wow, you're photographer was really tall.
Nah, they're both only 3 inches tall. They're like our very own action figures (weapons included). If we keep 'em in the box they came in they'll be worth a few bob soon.
Dunno, looks like somebody's been playing with them ...
Somewhat 'soiled', in fact...
A bit bent and chewed, somewhat moist ...
definitely 'damaged goods'...
Hurrah for Mr. and Mrs. Dotcom! Beautiful pictures. Congratulations!
SideDishFilter!Oops, excuse me, I meant to say: congratulations! To the both of you!
