A new donor program. I can't tell if this is serious. Anybody from Toronto know if Stone's Place would have a sign-up booth?
  • Looks like a prank to me.
  • Love it. It's great whether it's serious or not.
  • the registrant is based in ontario but does not identify any organization: Domain ID:D105828354-LROR Domain Name:FLESHDONOR.ORG Created On:04-Mar-2005 18:17:41 UTC Last Updated On:04-Mar-2005 18:23:52 UTC Registrant Name:Matt Stata Registrant Organization: Registrant Street1:35 Fountainhead Road Registrant Street2:Apt. 2102 Registrant City:North York Registrant State/Province:Ontario Registrant Postal Code:M3J 2V7 my guess is it's a veggie thing. though with an address on fountainhead road, it could be objectivists. maybe veggie objectivists?
  • If they weren't trying to get, "...legal recognition as a non-profit environmental organization, which could open doors for funding." this would be a very cool thing. It's still cool, but come on, funding for cannibalism? The government'll never go for it.
  • ...It's people!!! Ok, now that that's out of my system... I wouldn't object this if not where for the myriad of known and unknown health risks that cannibalism entails. Besides, everybody knows that tender meat is the tastiest. Who wants to eat old people's flesh?
  • arr, you evil uncomplemented tag...
  • Zemat -- I wouldn't object this if not where for the myriad of known and unknown health risks that cannibalism entails. Who wants to eat old people's flesh? They have this covered in the faq. If they sign up donors who die young it won't be old people's flesh.
  • tellurian, I'll be in the general area of Stone's Place next week. If I think of it, I'll stop in and see what they know about this site. "This event will coincide with christian scientist Ian Juby's presentation on creationism, at the same venue. Pamphlets will be available, and we will be signing up new members, so we hope to see all prospective donors out there!" Heh.
  • MonkeyFilter: Who wants to eat old people's flesh?
  • Ah.... I see they have more news posted. They will be at Earth Day, April 22nd - Toronto. "looking for an appropriate activity to engage in" Maybe they could rent a stall and serve finger food like Wendy's?
  • MMMMMMMMMM...... old people's flesh!!!
  • Or fried elephant people ears? A quarter-pound of flesh burger, anyone?
  • Darn, I can't make it to Earth Day. I'll be on another planet on April 22.
