Patterns! Beautiful patterns! Remember Mac OS 6? Remember making patterns pixel by pixel with your choice of 8 colors? This is sort of like that but way cooler. I was just using some on my webthing and thought I'd share. Also, check these out.
  • awesome stuff...thanks...
  • Been a fan of squidfingers long before I was a fan of squidranch... Was turned onto the fingers' elegant designs when MetaFilter Matt used them for his personal blog (no longer, sigh). I've used #62 myself.
  • I've used #119 (or whatever # that green curvy one in the 117-122 batch is). I love pattern sites out of all proportion to my ability to use those patterns. (My ability begins and ends with background tiling, though I can always dream about trying stuff with patterns like taz's examples of site layouts.) When I click through the patterns, I get that same feeling of delight I get from this pack of richly patterned origami paper my dad brought back for me from Japan when I was 10. I can't even make a paper airplane, but every time I clean out my desk I find it and spend a few minutes just enjoying the patterns again, sheet by sheet.
  • Squidfingers is great. I was just trying to remember the name of the site the other day, as I had failed to bookmark it last time I was there...thanks!
