It's Just a Plant: a children's story of marijuana
When little Jackie finds her parents smoking weed, she begins her adventure of discovery and learning...
-
Kids! Don't be fooled by this hippy propaganda. Find out the truth
-
Mefi thread (in which I did some useless bickering). Report of the Canadian Senate Special Committee on Illegal Drugs, that essentially said the same thing as the title of the book.
-
Be sure to buy our other title "It's just a Dildo".
-
It's just a plant that make mommy and daddy want to listen to lots of Bob Marley and Sublime.

For *most* people it is a mild narcotic of little impact, but for those who have a family history of depression or mental illness, it is a drug to be avoided. In those with genetic predisposition for schizophrenia, it can trigger a psychotic episode. I am not scare mongering. Nor do I suffer from schizophrenia, but 2 of my family members do. A psychotic episode was triggered in one by marijuana abuse. Disclosure: I smoke cannabis & enjoy it, have done since I was about 16, on & off. I've never experienced a problem. Not currently smoking (only because I can't score or get my seeds to grow, dammit).

Pot is not for kids because it would make them act silly.
-
and then eat all the brownies/cookies/cheez-its/pasta/
-
or some bizarre combination of all of them
-
You silly wabbit. Pot's are for kids.
-
It took me months after moving to Santa Cruz to remember to refer to "potted plants" instead of "pot plants". People kept giving me hopeful looks and offering me drinks or money.
-
Something has to explain the Grateful Dead.
-
Well, finally a children's book where there is a good reason for the characters giggling and smiling inanely. I always wondered where the Teletubbies hid their stash...
-
What Nostrildamus said. Fun for most people, but not so much if you have depression, anxiety, or OCD. Of course, I'm typing this with a booze hangover, so whatever...
-
Damn hippies.
-
Dude, get me a Pepsi.
