West Coast Whiskeys A cool little article in the LA Times that details a renaissance of whiskey making here in California. Thought that my drinky-monkeys would find it of interest.
Yum
Only slightly related: Beer logos for your plastering pleasure.
Interesting article, squiddy, thanks.
Have ye tried any of these yet?
No, not yet. Some of the bottles seem quite afforable so I'm sure that I will next time I get out to West LA's Wine House, which is BTW a great place for all kinds of spirits.
Wow, now where can I buy some? (shouldn't too hard considering I live a few miles from 3 of those breweries.) I've been sad that, as I am boycotting the south and all things I know of that are made there for the net 4 years, I had to switch from American whiskey to scotch. Granted I like a good scotch, but still I was sad.
When I saw a post titled "West Coast Whiskeys," I thought it was going to be another LA meetup thread.

...of your hollow leg. It's true.
I haven't had their whiskey, but Clear Creek's brandy makes a lovely dinner chaser. I'm enjoying a glass of it right now.
