Melodyhound: Whistle or describe a melody and have it identified.

YES.NET: Hear a song on the radio and want to know what it is? Find it here.

FindSounds: Search the web for sound files of any type (like industrial or instrumental or nature or voice...etc)

Gyan--I just tried Yes.net and was mightily impressed. Great post!

[massive banana]

I've been craving Melodyhound for years, literally. The necessary encoding works better than I expected: I fed Melodyhound *UUUUDDDUUDUDDUUDUDDUURD, whereupon it correctly responded Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus: sonata No. 21 (a different number in my edition, but whatever-- that's why we have Köchel numbers) violin/piano E minor K304, 1st movement.

[celestial banana]

Damn it, there's no banana sounds on these!
