Dark, bitingly funny, yet poignant, The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin was beloved by millions who identified with their hero's desperate desire for a life less ordinary. The memorable cast of characters included Reggie's long-suffering wife Elizabeth, his incoherent boss C.J., his mother-in-law, and Reggie himself, brilliantly played by Leonard Rossiter.

  • I have SO been waiting for this to come out on DVD. I remember watching as a child and desperately wanting my very own square hula hoop, from Grot.
  • MCT, see the series too if you can. I'm super excited that my public tv station started running it last night. Haven't seen it since I was a kid. (According to my parents it was one of my favorites. Yes I was a weird child.) On preview, es el Queso, so relieved I'm not the only one!
  • I watched The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin on PBS back in the 80's. It's one of the funniest and strangest sitcoms I've ever seen.

  • This was a funny, funny show. Unfortunately, some years ago, the BBC released an edited version of the show that somehow managed to edit the funny right out of it. I'm glad it's complete on DVD 'cause I've waited a very long time for this- too bad Amazon US isn't carrying it though. I'm not a transatlantic ordering person-usually!
