• immlass: The JC? I'm coming from the other direction (by South Orange), so I wish I could offer you a ride, but JC is too far out of my way. (I've been a NJ-NYC commuter for almost 5 years, so although I have a car, driving unfamiliar routes in NJ is extremely daunting for me.) gah. I'm sweating just thinking about navigating around the Turnpike/78 extension. Regardless, I hope you can make it!
• if lurkers/sometime posters are welcome i think i can make it. i may be have to meet up a bit later in the evening as i have family obligations in sayreville during the day.

I'm in downtown JC, near the Grove Street PATH station, so I wouldn't wish driving here on my worst enemy. If we were on Friday, I'd seriously consider taking the train from NYC mentioned on the MeTa thread you linked.

• Damn. I just moved out of NJ to MD in September. I've been coming back to Jersey regularly, but I'm not scheduled to come up that weekend. Maybe a future meetup will coincide with one of my visits. I went to one MeFi Jersey meetup (goddam was there too - she's not that introverted) that was a good time. I'm sad that I'll be missing this one.

• Hey naxosaxur, good to hear from you. New Jersey is unfortunately the wrong direction in the suburban penumbra for me, but have fun all! (And if you're ever at the CT end of the commuter line, feel free to drop in).
• forksclovetofu, you can catch the PATH train in midtown or Greenwich Village, and take that to Hoboken, Jersey City, or Newark to rendezvous with other folks. $3 round trip, quick and easy. Hey--I think this is my first post here. I'm a MoFi lurker no more!

• I've been freezing my rear out on the corner for an hour with a violin and a hat, and so far I've only garnered 35 cents and a lock washer. I fear it's going to be hard to raise the cost of a plane ticket this way. Perhaps I should actually learn to play the violin?
• Have fun, all my NJ bonobos. Recomendations: Somebody bring a banana. Makes it easier to recognise one another. Also, keep the liquor flowing. Makes the meetup much more funnerer.
