Chinese mothers donated their breast milk to save an abandoned baby Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey.
The story is over 2 years old and I can't find an update, so I don't know how the monkey is doing now, but I hope it is well.
This article links to a Quicktime video of more golden monkeys, including a baby.
Here's more info on the Guizhou and Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys.
By "over 2 years old" I meant "almost two years old," of course.
Baby monkeys! Who can't love a baby monkey? Just look at that tiny furry face.
And yet to me, more entertaining still is the "Most Popular" sidebar in the hosting side, the English-language (and so presumably for foreign consumption) People's Daily Online:

Who can't love a baby monkey?</i>
Only someone with no love in their heart, imo.
I really like these golden monkeys, but their fur which is so attractive is also the main reason they're hunted. I hope the Chinese government is able to save the species.
There are golden monkeys in Tibet too.
I thought maybe I could find a Chinese brush painting of this monkey, but haven't yet. In the meanime, I did find their tea :One bud and one leaf has to be really elegant stuff.
And,for those of you who have followed through my previous disasterous attempts to give good link, I'm doing a little dance in the end zone.
Yay Pat! Not so hard really, is it?
Wolof: labor intensive and annoying, but not impossible, it turns out. And, I will get better at it. Thanks for your cheer.
Castle Greyskull will be mine!
No, mine!
Both of you are getting NO bananas, you hear me?
awww... MOMMMMM!
Forks, don't make GramMa come in there and referee, now, you hear?
Those lil' twin darlin's were born April 15--'samazing. Here I thought the whole day was a total shitfest thanks to the IRS, and yet, somewhere in the world baby monkeys were gettin' they selves borned.
Life is good.
Thanks for the link, hom-unk!
More human breast milk is being donated, this time for baby chimps.
Not so with his buddy, the snow leopard.

The new Gitmo?

It sounds way more comfy than Gitmo. Even has water fountains!
Please don't let me be the only one here that thinks this is a long-lost relative of Michael Jackson
