I kid; the man is the reason I'm a professional actor today (all those ST re-runs of my youth) and I'm proud of to admit it. But...this new project.....WHY? (They are gonna be mean to you! I was, and I'm a fan!...)

My God...Spock...whatever...shall-we-DO? /bad kirk impression

I kid; the man is the reason I'm a professional actor today At least you didn't become a professional singer because of his vocal stylings! "I started studying voice because Shatner's song No Tears For Caesar, with its tasteful and fearless combination of hip-hop and a Shakespearean sonnet, was just so goddamned moving!" About a month ago, Shatner discussed "attempting excellence in music" in his blog.

Well, hey, the original Star Treck was pretty amazing in its day, and continues to go on in reruns - and Shatner certainly contributed to that. His musical stints, however, have given all of us good reason to point and laugh. On the other hand, maybe he's just making a living, capitalizing on how funny we find it.

Laugh all you want at Shatner, but Nimoy wins the prize for campiest video ever.
-
Ye Gadz Ambrosia I've never seen that before. Goood shit.
-
I pray that the spoken word version of "I'm Slim Shady" is included.
-
Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!
-
Genuine horror flick!
-
also the reason I don't own any red shirts. Not gonna get caught out there!
-
The thought of Shatner singing feels me with lots of warm fuzzies. I don't know what it is about him, but the kitsch is through the motherfreakin' roof!

Nimoy wins the prize for campiest video ever. Although the absence of "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" (see above link) spares me nightmares, I do hope it can return at some time, to horrify and astonish people the world over. Of course, speaking of web wackiness and William Shatner, I always think of the sublime beauty that is Khaaan! Yes, Virginia, there's still a place on the Internet for such things.
