God wants you to vote for Kerry. The path of the Florida tornadoes and the democratic/republican counties in Florida. Is there a connection?
  • They're all in Florida?
  • They're hurricanes, and it's been debunked.
  • The Keys voted for Bush????
  • Nah. Three hurricanes is pure coincidence. Now if it was FOUR I might believe him. Nah. Four is coincidence. Now if the Supreme Court gets blown away by a hurricane this season, I might believe him. (Stay tuned). <hee hee>
  • Had God really been concerned about the outcome of the 2000 U.S. Presidential elections one would think that it would have taken less effort to sway the Supreme Court decision that gave it to Bush, than deal with all those messy hurricanes.
  • Earlier.
  • None of this changes the fact that God really does hate Florida.
  • Very true. I don't know about anyone else, but if the place where I lived was hit by three hurricanes within the course of a month, I would take that as a hint to move.
  • in other god-and-hurricane news, "Theodore man credits donkey divine intervention" "I've got three little old baby donkeys out there," the Theodore resident said. "They're the cross-back donkeys that carried Jesus into Jerusalem. The Lord looks after them, everybody knows that."
  • Why would God bother? I mean, he could send Jesus back tomorrow, have Jesus pick McCain for VP, and they'd walk away with it.
  • Of course, perhaps God did intervene in the last election by influencing the Supreme Court. While I recognize that this post and the comments are largely in jest, I am fascinated by how people interpret all religious "signs" as being favorable to them. I remember the alleged image of "Satan" in the smoke coming out of the World Trade Center. People were very quick to believe that demonstrated that the bombing was the work of Satan. If a similar image in the smoke arose out of the US bombing of Iraq, then you can be sure that the same people would state that the image clearly shows that Satan was being driven out of Iraq.
  • "Listen to me! You have to consider the possibility that God does not like you. He never wanted you. In all probability, he hates you. This is not the worst thing that can happen." Ok, I'll stop quoting Fight Club now. ;)
  • *Still chuckling about the Jesus: Wrong for America link.
  • He was a commie.
  • He was a commie. Yes, but was He a Marxist-Leninist, or a Revisionist, or perhaps a Maoist? Besides, wasn't Jesus a libertarian?
  • Jebus was a librarian? I bet he wouldn't get pissed off if you talked too loud or had overdue books, because he was Jebus.
  • Well, he had all the Good Books! You get it? Good Books? Because, see, the Bible is sometimes...ah, screw it. He's just all right.
  • As another storm approaches, consider the region's other victims, as well as those in Florida.
