Strafe's guide to streetspeak is an invaluable guide for us linksluts hanging out in c-space.

Shadowrun slang.

Don't know why, but this post reminded me of it.

Fo' shizzle!

Oops. I meant that to go somewhere else entirely. Oh well, interesting article nonetheless.

PF, did you mean it to go here?

Or maybe here?

That'll teach me for not searching the archives first, and I ended up steppin' on a monkeybashi fpp. Shizzle.

(In my defence I just went through the link on the NYT article, and was so amused by posts such as:

Silver Jews The Steve Malkmus post gots me thinking 'bout David Berman - songwriter, poet n' shit. 'n sometimes (or former) bandmate, know what I'm sayin'? Says Malkmus
of da SJ's 1998 release American Water “It wuz such a better record than Terror Twilight [Pavement’s last release], know what I'm sayin'? Much mo' inspired n' shit. After American Water, I could no longer make a record da way [Pavement] made records n' shit. ”
[mo' inside]

I couldn't resist posting it. (Note to self - more haste less speed).

I enjoy "angry fruit salad" and "hurl" - something my father does on a regular basis. So nice to have a word for it!
