Curious, George A(nother) musical roundabout.
I'm interested in buying a record player. But, to be honest, I've got absolutely no idea where to start. I'm assuming that I'll need a component system, so I was looking at about £100 for the turntable, £100 for the amp, and a half-decent pair of speakers for as cheap as possible. I'm willing to spend a bit more than this if I need to.
I was looking at the Project Debut 2, after a couple of people said good things about it - is it any good?
See, I was always told direct drive was the way to go. But then phrenology fell out of favor too . . .
See, all this post has done has gotten the song "Roundabout" by Yes stuck in my head.
Damn you Todd Baker, and your little Jim Loy too!
</unreasonable, esoteric rant>
