Curious George A musical roundabout.
I am trying to put together a mix CD of cover songs. The trick is that I want them to be in order.
For instance.
Social Distortian covers Johnny Cash's 'Ring of Fire'.
Johnny Cash covers Nine Inch Nails' 'Hurt'.
Nine Inch Nails covers...etc.
Ideally I could work it back to the original artist.
Any ideas of cover songs that might work?
Frank Sinatra covers Beatles "Something", Beatles Covered "I Got A Woman" by Ray Charles, Ray Charles covered Buck Owens' "Crying Time" but that only leads back to The Beatles "Act Naturally".
Dang!
err no it doesn't . . Buck Owens *wrote* Act Naturally . . is it Christmas yet?
Thanks petebest. Good songs.
Also, I can envision this being rather large, i.e. 100+ songs across a wide variety of genres. So random connections are great too.
Nine Inch Nails cover's Queen's Get down, make love
oh, and no fair cheating at Covers project.
boo
Thanks for the great link. Maybe I'll sneak a few of theirs...
man, I can't believe I wrote "cover's". I'm so embarrassed.
boo - 'tis a fine link you've discover'd upon thine Int'rnet. ;)
honk!
One wonders how the mix CD turned out.
