Pinheads in America Sometimes the simplest pleasures are still the best pleasures...

I discovered the Dada genius of Bill Griffith's perrenial philosopher-savant more than 20 years ago, and I still giggle at it today.
If monkeys lost their tales, they'd call 'em Zippies!

Tails, dammit; TAILS...

Did this guy get to collect the royalties?

Dr. Zira : Damn if this doesn't freak me out. Check out that stylish sweater.

Nice catch, boo.
The history of that symbol is fascinating; I knew it was used as a symbol by many American Indians and by buddhists, but I hadn't realized it had Aztec connections. It got me Googling: a couple of interesting sites here and here (note the Jackie O. swastika moment).

i once appeared in zippy. bill griffith sent me a postcard ahead of time telling me when i'd be in. i have the card framed with the strip.

but i guess it'd be bragging to talk about it...

I've never been able to get into Zippy either. I've tried. The art style just doesn't hit my groove ceiling the right way or something. I dunno.
