Marry Blaire dot com. I'm going to be 27 and I'm ready to get married. Actually, my goal is to be engaged by December 2004. As her "Countdown to My Engagement" clock warns, she only has 155 days left. Her current suitors include a guy who likes DQ Blizzards and "home manicures"; past suitors are catalogued here, and the whole thing is blogged.

  • Spooky. I used to know someone caller Maire Barry. She was single too ...
  • Oh god, please let this be a hoax...
  • [My future Husband] should be honest, romantic, sensitive, creative, quirky, and of course good-looking! And he must be Jewish. Well, I got 0/7. You?
  • Not as spooky as you think! She's from Joisey!
  • Between the damp and the daylight When the buzzards begin to hiss, A huge relief steals o'er me Tantamount to bliss.
  • Maybe she can meet up with this guy?
  • Yer quirky as the day is long Quidnunc - now get back in there!
  • God, this is annoying.
  • Aw, thanks pete_best! Come to my bar mitzvah and I'll be 2/7!
  • At first I thought that this might be a viral for a dating site. Maybe it's a ploy for more traffic for her Dating Coach business? Whatever. Every cell of my body roils with revulsion at the spectacle. I trust that she will find the match that she deserves.
  • Creepy and pathetic. But perhaps we can think of it as an individualized personals column ad. Nah, just creepy.
  • I
  • She has no bad traits. So she's either lying, or deeply, deeply scary (I would rather she were lying, as that in itself would make her more human). Or, What Wolof said.
  • I read a lot of spiritual and business books. This sentence deserves special ridicule. Women like this crack me up. Wait until she's about 2 weeks from 30 years old and see how low her standards drop. It'll be anything with a penis, a pulse and a paycheck.
  • It'll be anything with a penis, a pulse and a paycheck. Woo-Hoo! Now I'm 2/3!
  • On the pictures page, the third pic is captioned: "This is how I'll look when my husband asks me to marry him" The strange thing is, in this picture she looks like a drag queen.
  • I dislike the fact that her goal is to be married - not "in love", not "happy" - yet she describes herself as independent. If she were truly independent, her happiness wouldn't hinge on having a rock on her finger. /feminist rant
  • Monkeyfilter: a penis, a pulse, and a paycheck
  • Goetter: I'll go you one better. Monkeyfilter: a penis, a pulse, and a paycheck. OR 2/3. and what about Monkeyfilter: Every cell of my body roils with revulsion at the spectacle.

  • cabingirl, anyone's happiness depends on quite different things. Some good, some bad, some weird. It pretty much depends on meeting some basic needs plus a plethora of stuff you were raised into (and damn difficult to get rid of) to be "truly" happy. For some people, finding love is just a circumstance, a random consequence, of attaining a much more important objective in their lives, having a successful social life.
