If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen. That big girl's blouse, Dave Winer (appropriately named), has posted some limp-wristed tripe about how to avoid flamewars. Read it and weep for the future of a totally wimpy internet. Stolen from that bunch of wussies over at MeFi. :D

  • I really don't have an opinion regarding Dave other than to say that I hope he does much better in the swimsuit competition, because he doesn't appear to have a SNOWBALL'S CHANCE for "Miss Congeniality". I'll also note that down through history a lot of otherwise great artists, innovators and visionaries have been complete assholes. That being said, I find it interesting that in the MetaFilter thread that includes Dave Winer's very first comments, his personality shines through. Note that he comes back to the thread NINE MONTHS later to say "Nyaah, nyaah." (last comments in the thread). So, yeah. The diagnosis sounds on-target.
