Where did you find this? This is hilarious. I want this and ALL of their future titles.
-
well that is really just too cute for words. I am very much looking forward to the volume on wolverines.
-
Um, Amazon didn't have "Giraffes, Giraffes" on sale and I was so looking forward to reading it. Any idea where it can be found? And (I tell you this in secret) Bennie is sooo cute!
-
Whoops! Sorry. Here's the link to McSweeney's. (scroll waaaaaaaay down, just past "OTHER McSWEENEY'S FEATURES") "Palindromes - In Outer Space!" had me giggling too!
-
And you can purchase "Giraffes? Giraffes!" here.
-
Dr. Doris's journal made me giggle. Especially when her temporarily permanent husband Benny took over the journal entries.
-
I want to live in a world where people like this really exist. (Giraffe is one of those lovely, silly words that loses all meaning after just a few repetitions.)
-
Thanks, shinything, but, since I'm such a fast reader, the summary will do nicely. What did you say?
-
They've got the Dorling Kindersley style down cold.

Hmmm. There's a reason why "Here is a picture of a stapler:" was left as just that one joke. This is an example of why that was a good idea. Beautifully, beautifully designed, as with all good McSwys affiliates, but the humour and the whimsy...? Apologies if this unduly reflects the horror of my own heritage (scorn is something you can freely dispense, but cringing is reserved entirely for that which reminds you uncomfortably of yourself) but it's lame, lame, lame sub-Footlights-revue material. Horrible. Embarrassing. But then, y'all seem to quite like it. So maybe I'm wrong. In fact, that theory would explain a lot of things. Hmmm. Yes. Righty ho; I suggest you ignore me. Carry on. Nothing to see here.
-
Flash, guess my whimsy must be outta wack, too. I wanted to laugh, but ....
-
Flash: no worries. Everything can't be for everyone. Lousy giraffe hater
-
Nope. No way. Not going to Japan if I have to go bun bun.
