Snip 'n send! Type in your cell phone number, choose a track from a CD and you got yourself a new ringtune! (Yeah, I know, my second post of the day. It's the Memorial Day holiday in the U.S. and I'm stuck at work. Take pity on me.)

"If you would like for us to contact you when this service is available, please email us at:"

Aww, crackers.

poo! i didn't see that. thanks rusty.

I wonder what those people want your number for. Maybe a RIAA frame-up?

I'm taking pity on you.

....

Finished now.

hey sidedish, interesting idea, but it looks like a phone # harvester to me. i'm totally cellular, no land line, and i'm sure that to a telemarketer an unlisted cell number is worth a lot on a phone list.

unless i see proof that this isn't a scam i'm not giving my number to anybody i don't personally know...

If it turns out to be legit, I might give up my stubborn refusal to buy a cell phone just so I can use this. First order of business will be to lug out my John Lee Hooker and Tom Waits CDs and start rifling through them.

phone-number harvester definitely sounds like a possiblity. arg.

but wouldn't it be oh-so cool to have sinatra singing "ring-a-ding-ding" every time your phone rang!?

heh.
