Nuclear Weapon Archive. Perhaps one of the best nuclear weapons pages I've found to date. The photo gallery pages are full of nuclear explosion photos: give Ivy, Redwing, and Hardtack a try, or head straight to their wallpaper-sized images. Read their nuke FAQ. Interesting stuff.

Cool and creepy find, Roly! Thanks!
(Who knew fission could be so beautiful?)

Wow...some of those are really awesome. Thanks for sharing it!

Have you seen the declassified video from some of these tests? Even more than snapshots of the mushroom clouds, film clips such as these from Operation Desert Rock, and the infamous damage and destruction montage, really underline the tremendous destructive power of these weapons.

There is no such thing as coincidence. After downloading some of these pictures and adding them to my rotating collection of desktop pictures I went to see a movie. A movie from a couple of years ago, Thirteen Days that started with a rapid montage of all those nuclear explosions. The movie is about the Cuban crisis of 1962, and despite it featuring Kevin Costner, it's actually pretty good.
I even cried.

"Gee, I wish we had one of them doomsday machines."

In this one you can see Satan off to the right.
