  • That "Sandman" is genius! The riffs fit together so well. Nevertheless, I'd be even more impressed with "The Sound of Metallica with the Style of the Beatles" instead, turning heavy metal into 60s pop. These is well done, and very amusing, but a little too much like punk covers in places, and that's a genre that, while entertaining, gets a little old.
  • I got this from a friend a little while back. I dont like the beatles or metallica, so I thought this was funny in a pointless way, I didnt think it was actually serious. Then again, I dont like Jay-Z either, and I thought the grey album would have been much better as an instrumental, or with pretty much any other MC. Oh well, no accounting for taste...and mine is pretty arbitrary.

  • I agree with you rustcellar. The sounds of metallica in the style of the beatles would have been a whole lot different than anything out there. Though it would likely be a whole lot more challenging to do... That's what I want to see

  • I thought Husker Du was the closest we could get to the Beatles/Metallica combination. Sorry Somehow - MP3 Husker Du: best punk band of the 80s. Hands down.
