Swiss National Exhibition Bern 1914. A virtual museum.

Astonishing, and yet sad, to contemplate all this celebratory effort happening in Bern just as World War I was about to devastate much of Europe.
Some of the artwork seems very fresh.
Guess I'll always wonder what happened to the massive sculpture by Ary Bitter.
