Excellent - though disheartening - article. Both sides have done so much hurt to each other, and still can't see the mutual pain. Sometimes I have wondered if the Temple Mount ought to be simply destroyed. Better that we lose those treasures than that the war goes on. But I don't imagine it would do much good, now that the hate is so deeply ingrained.

Now that I am thoroughly depressed, can anyone think of a situation of mutual hate and distrust as bad as this that has gotten better?

pedantry reminds one of molesting children because of...spelling....it is paedophile in the UK and some scientific/psychiatric journals.

comes from when the a & e were hooked together as one letter...kinda.
