I don't know... in a one-on-one matchup between a creation of Lovecraft and a creation of Microsoft, I'd give the advantage to MS. More so if Bill Gates was personally involved (Paul Allen lacked the necessary Evilness and Steve Ballmer is a joke).
Microsoft has impish inventions, but the Cthulhu Mythos has fungoid and frog-fish inter-dimensionality...
I fantasized about this a lot. Er, with less Cthulhu. That was pretty awesome.
