Zombie in my Pocket [PDF] ia a free, print-and-play solitaire game. Playing time is 5 to 20 minutes. Review and summary here. [Via Defective Yeti]
  • Apparently playable on the computor, too, but I can't speak to how well it works or doesn't.
  • I love these kinds of games. There's a non-free and much more involved game like this that TP and I play called Zombies!!! that's hella fun. I'm at work now and don't have time to try it, but I already see one design flaw just from looking at the tiles: there's only one exit from the foyer, and there are a couple of other dead-end tiles as well. If the first tile drawn is the bathroom or the closet, you're kind of fucked. The foyer should have three exits to prevent this happening.
  • Psst -- mct -- word to the wise -- don't mention The Game That Shall Not Be Named around here. Speedlime has an itsy bitsy problem with it, her pals having designed the game and then being ripped off by the guys who are putting it out now. It's a Touchy Subject.
  • I henceforth declare it the preferred game of pedophiles worldwide, and apologies to speedlime. Anyway, I checked the Defective Yeti post and see that they've declared a better one anyway.
  • I bet Alton Brown likes to play it.
  • Not when he's in his Ram Van, tardo. /topical burn
  • I haven't tried Zombie in my Pocket yet, but I've had my eye on it for a while. My eye was on it. Like my eye fell out of my head and lay there oozing on the printed maps. Because I'm a zombie. Aaaaaaaaagh. Zombie lovers should check out Last Night On Earth, which is cooperative vs. a zombie player, scenario based and plays in about thirty minutes. Oh, and it's awesome.
