Terra autonomica and the plug-and-play brain.
Those simulations remind me of a couple screensavers I used to have in one machine, Breve Creatures, which features all kind of 3D geometric enitites attempting to evolve. There was another called Breve Walker (which now I can't find a link to) featuring a quadruped robotic entity attempting to walk. I recall fondly its' first teetering steps...
Fascinating! I wonder how analagous this software is to actual neural learning in primitive organisms- I mean are they trying to simulate results or the process?
