Metropolis- Complete at Last- Last Tuesday Paula Félix-Didier traveled on a secret mission to Berlin in order to meet with three film experts and editors from ZEITmagazin. The museum director from Buenos Aires had something special in her luggage: a copy of a long version of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, including scenes believed lost for almost 80 years.

Fucking awesome.

YEAH!!!!!

Oh, wow.

OK, I've finally reassembled the pieces of my blown mind enough to read the article. What a cool story! I can't wait to see it.

Next- Complete telerecordings of Troughton years found in some New Zealander's chicken coop.

Awesome.

The Cinematheque Francaise has a bunch of neat stuff from Metropolis, including one of the robots.

Just sayin'.

Squee! Nice! I'm trying to get the go to teach a media history course at some point -- I can totally justify buying the (eventual) DVD of this!!

Amazing, especially given the perishability of old film. I hope the Museo del Cine is going to check it hasn't got other unrecognised stuff.

Possible lost alternative cut of Psycho discovered
