The Big Dog Quadruped Robot is Evolving

We've talked about Boston Dynamics' Quadruped Robot before (but the video link is dead now). Here's an update. It runs, it jumps, it dances to the sound of a model airplane engine: it crosses the uncanny valley. Hello, biological entities, this is the future.
It feels so "animal" that I almost feel bad when they hit it to demonstrate how it regains balance on its own.
Just as soldiers today are getting attached to and treating as pets those IED-disposal robots, tomorrow we'll see these 'mules' antropomorphized and valued as another team member... as they are sent into enemy territory to kill human enemies.
Mh. I wonder if they'll dream...

I feel sure, based on knowledge of humanity, this design will find use in the adult entertainment industry in oooh, about 25 years.
