Top 10 Craziest Star Wars Tattoos.

Wow. Just, wow.

Semi-related but not nearly so elaborate: I ran across a livejournal community dedicated to Harry Potter tattoos (including a surprising number of Dark Marks) a while ago.

While on the topic of Geek/Nerd tattoos, my highschool Fantasty lit teacher is getting the One Ring inscription on her shoulder blades.

*grumbles that he never had a lit teacher worth having a highschool fantasy over*

I would do the lightsaber finger tattoo if I could get a friend to do it too so we could have battles.

the lightsaber finger tattoos are adorable but the full torso yoda scarification thing...DAMN!!!

I like Boba in the mouth of the Sarlacc, myself.

But scarification? Is that what the kids are doing these days? I thought if you were the tough shit, you did branding...

At least the wound is cauterized, and would reduce the risk of infection, but this? Am I an old fuddy-duddy when I say "Dude -- did you talk this over with your therapist?"

And am I wrong in thinking that dude got that off a Jack O'lantern stencil?

Oh dear. I said to ubergeek #2, "Look, I think that's the Sarlacc that Boba is sitting in," and he looked at me like I'm a bigger nerd than him, because he didn't know the name of it and I did.

Who over 30 doesn't know what the Sarlacc is?

#2, apparently.

*raises hand*

Also -- my mom.

um, I am definitely over 30 and I didn't know.

/hangs insufficiently geeky head in shame

I've always thought of that as an anus dentatus...

So, it's a Sarlacc, you say?

I'm not much of a tattoo person, but I was talking to a fella that does genetic research. He said, if it weren't for being a total wuss, he'd get a double helix tattooed from his neck to his butt crack.

How cool would that be?!

I don't know what a Sarlacc is, though I'm exactly 30, so maybe that doesn't count.

(can't remember if I was born two months after, or a month before Star Wars was in theatres, but I didn't go)

JB - you're off the hook. And happy 30th year! Now you just have to decide what to do with the rest of your life before you turn 31 </Dr Evil Laugh and Pinkie Salute>...

I'm not yet brave 'nuff for a tattoo, but if I were, I sure as hell wouldn't get St Bobba Fett of the Holy Sarlacc..
