Reissued German educational charts that were illustrated in the 1950s and 60s.

Look like a Frank Zappa album cover from circa 1971.

They're awesome. Something for the wall, indeed. But why "surreal"?

Probably because a lot of surrealist cut-up art uses these kinds of images juxtaposed with other stuff. Viz illustrations for 'The Atrocity Exhibition' by J.G.Ballard, and aforementioned Zappa promotional material.

Very nice. Reminds me of the Haeckel charts.

Great stuff. I wonder if the artist who did this stuff is still around and knows that his charts are geting a second lease of life online?

But you can use the diagrams to put it back together!

Sufficiently detailed anatomical charts of certain types of marine life almost always look surreal.

These are beautiful. Kinda spooky, but the attention to detail is incredible.
